My Wallace Family

*Samuel Wallace was born @ 1754 in South Carolina. (This is my family line;my great-great-great-great-great grandpa; as far back as we have found so far.)

Nancy Elizabeth "Eliza" Bruce, born Feb. 9, 1826, died on July 18, 1869, Webster Co., Ky, buried at Granny's Hill Cemetery, Webster Co., Kentucky.

(This is my family line, great-great grandpa.) He was known as "Uncle Tuck Wallace".

Married on , divorced. She married twice more. (2) Raymon Spain, and (3) Clinton Sleister. She died in 1967 @ New Orleans, La., buried Black Oak Cemetery, Black Oak, Craighead Co., Arkansas.
*Robert Paul Guthrie born Mar. 17, 1896 in Greenway, Clay Co., Arkansas.
Children:
Ruth Guthrie, died at birth or shortly afterwards.

Left picture is of William Richard Wallace, born December 4, 1842 and died January 17, 1927. He was the son of James Curry Wallace and Amanda Price. He was in the 1st Kentucky Cavalry Regiment, C. S. A., Co. A., and participated in 61 skirmishes.

On the right is a picture of George Henry Harrison, born on January 30, 1972. He is the son of Sandra Lee Guthrie (ME) and Gordon Henry Harrison. He had his own construction company in Conroe, Texas.



BIOGRAPHIES & NOTES OF FAMILY MEMBERS:
Ella May Wallace:
(Born May 3, 1876, died Jan. 1, 1907)
Ella was the daughter of John Daniel Wallace, married a wage hand that worked for her father. When the fall crops were in her husband Pierre Maxey went to Paragould, Ark. to buy furniture so he and his wife and baby on the way could move out on their own. On his way back with his wagon load of furniture Pierre was murdered and wagon and all thrown into the St. Francis River. (Ella was pregnant at the time this happened)
Ella Mae had a baby girl who was named Blanch Maxey. Blanch was delivered by a midwife known as Granny Holinshead. It was about this time her mother, Lou Bracken Wallace died, so Ella Mae and daughter stayed to help keep house for Grandpa Tuck. Her daughter, Blanch, was about the same age as Little Tuck.
Ella May then married Edward La'fayette Jackson. He had been married before to Anna Powell and they had three children; James Edward Jackson, Jr., Augusta "Gus" Garland Jackson, and John Allen Jackson. Ella May and Edward La'fayette had two children; Anne Jackson and Sally Daniel Jackson (named after Grandpa Tuck)
Ella is buried at Black Oak, Arkansas. Her grand-daughter, (Anne's daughter, Ruth) is buried beside her in an unmarked grave.

Anne Jackson:
(Born Aug. 3, 1902, died June 23, 1967)
Anne first married Robert Paul Guthrie. They had a son named Paul Jackson Guthrie, my Dad)and a daughter named Ruth. Ruth died the day she was born. Anne and Paul divorced and she then married Raymond Spain. Anne and Raymond had a daughter named Mary May Spain.
Anne's 3rd husband was Clint Slister, one child they named Clint Slister, Jr.

Sally Daniel Jackson:
(Born Feb. 3, 1904)
Sally married Ralph Joseph Gauthier and they had two children; Laura Louise Gauthier and Ralph Joseph Gauthier, Jr.
